privacy

accounts and sign-in

Anko uses Google Firebase Authentication for Google sign-in, email/password accounts, password recovery and anonymous guest sessions. Firebase processes authentication information and keeps your sign-in session in browser storage. Passwords are handled by Firebase; Anko's account database does not store them. See Google's privacy policy.

Our server stores your Firebase UID, email address when available, display name, unique username, generated avatar color, any profile picture you upload (including animated images), sign-in provider, guest status and profile timestamps. Uploaded pictures retain their original file contents, which may include image metadata. Guest accounts have identifiers too; they are not anonymous to the service in the sense of having no records. Google users can add a password to the same account.

settings and browser storage

Your browser stores preferences such as theme, background, tab cloak, particles, search engine, proxy backend and music settings. While signed in on pages with account sync, eligible Anko browser settings are copied to our server under your UID and restored when you sign in. Not every third-party game save or browser storage entry is synchronized.

Signing out saves the current synchronized preferences, clears local Anko customizations and reloads the defaults. It does not delete your account or its saved settings. Clearing browser storage can remove local sign-in sessions and guest access; saved server records are not erased by doing so. New accounts start with default customizations.

AI messages and usage

AI requires a signed-in non-guest account and verified email, or Google sign-in. Messages, relevant recent conversation context and attached images are sent through Anko's server to OpenRouter and the model provider to generate replies. Enabling web search can also send relevant information to search or tool providers. Avoid submitting passwords or other sensitive information.

The current chat is held in page memory. Anko's AI usage database records a derived account identifier, model, input and output token counts, cost, whether billing was provider-reported, and timestamps; it does not store chat text or images. Separate account usage records enforce hourly and weekly limits and shared spending limits.

OpenRouter and model providers have their own processing and retention practices. We do not promise that all providers use zero retention or that submitted content is never used for training. See OpenRouter's privacy policy and provider retention information.

site analytics and operational records

First-party analytics uses random browser and session identifiers in local and session storage. We record page visits, game-page names, interaction names and labels, visit times, active time, referrer hostname, site hostname, device category, browser, operating system, language, time zone and screen dimensions. These identifiers are pseudonymous, not a guarantee of anonymity. Google Analytics is not initialized by the current site code.

We use site activity and AI usage information to understand how Anko is used, measure service costs and manage usage limits.

We also keep game play counts and process IP addresses and connection information for rate limits, proxy sessions and abuse prevention. Hosting, delivery and third-party services may keep their own operational logs. We cannot promise that IP addresses are never written to any infrastructure log.

advertising and other services

Anko displays Adsterra advertising, including scripts loaded on the homepage. Ad networks and advertisers may process IP addresses, browser information, cookies or similar identifiers, and ad interactions to deliver and measure advertising. Third-party scripts execute in the browser and are subject to their providers' practices.

The proxy relays requests to destinations you choose. Games, apps, movie embeds, cloud gaming, music, fonts and other assets may involve external services or content networks. Cloud gaming may create temporary provider accounts. These services receive information needed to deliver their content, and their own privacy policies apply.

Information is shared with service providers as necessary for these features; this policy does not claim that no information leaves Anko. Blocking third-party scripts may affect ads or external features.

retention, security and your choices

Account profiles, synchronized settings, traffic analytics and AI usage records are currently retained without a scheduled automatic deletion period. Firebase and other providers apply their own retention practices.

You can edit your profile in Settings, sign out, clear browser data, or contact ankostudios@outlook.com to request access, correction or deletion of your account and associated data. There is no self-service account deletion button yet. We may need to verify ownership to act on a request. Never send your password.

Authentication checks and restricted access protect account and analytics data, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Guest access can be lost if browser credentials are cleared. Please avoid using a guest account as the only copy of important data.

younger users and contact information

Account details, identifiers and usage information can be personal information, including for younger users. This policy does not claim that Anko collects no personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian concerned about a child's data, contact ankostudios@outlook.com so we can review the account and any deletion request.

If you email us for support or send a copyright notice, we receive the contact details and information you include so we can respond. Third-party content, advertising and authentication providers have their own age requirements and policies.
